my daughter said a word to me today and said it was "spanish." she pronounced it "ohas." is there any word in the spanish language with a different spelling that would be pronounced like this? there any word in the spanish language that would be pronounced "ohas" or something close to that?

Could it have been "Hojas" (leaves)?
P.s. the "h" is silent in Spanish.

'hoja' could also mean a 'sheet of paper' or the 'blade of a knife'.
