Hola!
I am trying to say that in a relationship -a couple having different interests or hobbies can make it interesting but i am unsure if using - Tenido - for a couple having is the correct form on tener.

Hi warbyh, welcome to the forum
May be we can have a sentence you wish to say?
In Spanish the ing forms normally change to infinitive.
If the sentence is the one above:
Tener los mismos intereses y hobbies es muy importante en una relación.
