You can say (to either a male or female):

Perdón or Perdóname = when you step on someones foot

Con permiso = when you want to get by but someone is blocking your path

¡Discúlpeme! = when you've done something stupid

'Con permiso' also when you wish to excuse yourself from a group of people? - Lise-Laroche, Apr 10, 2010
I like the examples of different situations! :-) - Delores--Lindsey, Apr 10, 2010
Yes, Lise, you'd say it then too. - --Mariana--, Apr 10, 2010

You could say: Perdóname. This is the imperative form. You are saying: Pardon me. The form has nothing to do with gender as it is a verb form (perdonar) Please note that Perdóname is a familiar command (tú) grin
