"noche de ronda"?

I just came across this phrase. I checked the dictionar for the meaning of "ronda" and came up with a few translations - round, patrol, tour, avenue. Would noche de ronda mean something like the police patrolling at night or is it like going out at night and having fun? Is it an idiomatic expression?
