What do you find boring?

Question

Based on today's word aburrir, I thought we could have a discussion about things that we find boring. Now I know there are certain things that we probably all find boring.

Por ejemplo:

• watching paint dry
• watching ice cubes melt

So I thought it might be interesting to discuss those things which others find to be extremely entertaining, but we find to be dull.

For instance, many women love to do arts and crafts. However, I find that activity to be mind numbing.

Pasar el tiempo haciendo artes y artesanías es una actividad muy aburrido para mí.

There are no right or wrong answers. We are all wired in a different way. What a boring world it would be if we were all the same!

So in Spanish (with the English translation), tell us what you find to be boring. If you are a bit more daring, tell us what you would rather be doing.

Me aburre esperar en alguna oficina de gobierno, mientras espero mi turno para algun trámite. Me choca toda la burocracia. It bores me to wait in a government office while I wait my turn to turn some kind of paperwork. I hate bureaucracy. I hope my English is correct!

Now I know there are certain things that we probably all find boring.

como se dice "speak for yourself"?!?! me encanta! How can you not love that? The hours and hours of intense extreme slow dry slight rub together of the majestical paint changing very slight colors before your very eyes! Is enchanting! And then on top of that amazing awesomeness you have a cool tall glass of clear sexy icecubes slowly melting, teasing and unfolding their inner beauty infront of the wall of course hardening paint?!?!?!! The small yearning glass of cube after cube of perspiring ice melting infront of the hardening paint teasing it ever so slowly saying stop please!

I can watch paint dry on certain things all day long or ice melt over other a couple of things with fascination... Or something... haha just kidding.

Actually, it is fascinating to watch ice melt (for a few seconds, at least)...these little swirlies are happening everywhere in the drink...especially noticeable in ice tea, if I recall correctly.

Es aburrido si me levanto muy temprano y todos todavía duermen. No puedo decidir para despertar o para dormir, y mientras pensaba... la somnolencia se va.

It's borring if I get up too early and everybody's still sleeping. I can't decide to wake or to sleep, and while thinking... the sleepiness goes away.
