¿Cómo se dice "text" en tu país?

I was talking to a native speaker the other day who said that "text" (the noun--a text message) in Spain is "sms" (pronounced ese-eme-ese).
How about in other countries?
And the verb "to text"?

Creo que en Argentina se dice "text" y se dice "mandar/enviar un (mensaje de) text, pero no he viajado a Argentina hace más de dos años y por eso, no estoy tan segura.
