En general, los personajes de Matute son solitarios, introvertidos, mal entendidos y distanciados. De igual manera, Matia tiene estas características que representan las de personas verdaderas quien han sido afectado por guerra.

It would be "que han sido afectado" but it sounds perfect other than that.
