"used to" is used in English to indicate the past imperfect because we can not conjugate the verb that way.

Spanish uses a different way to do it.

Examples:

"I used to eat..." either "comía......." or "solía comer........"

"I used to speak ......." either "hablaba ........" or "solía hablar .......

I believe that you'd use the imperfect tense for these types of sentences.

I would use pretérito imperfecto of soler. So the snteces would begin with: solía...

The other possibility is to use the verb form the 1st part of sentence in pretérito imperfecto as in the example: I used to work in this shop - antes trabajaba en esa tienda
