"Se me olvidó" I forgot. But Shouldn't we say "Lo me olvidé"?

"se me olvidó" seems to me "he forgot me".

"Se me olvidó" works because the "se" here makes the phrase passive. "Se olvidó": it was forgotten. "Se me olvidó": it was forgotten by me. Whereas "he forgot me" is simply "me olvidó".
