In the song Devuelveme la Vida by David Bustamante. He sings "devuelveme la vida que me la has quitao" What does this mean?

"Return to me the life that you have taken from me." "the life" should probably be taken to mean life in general, i.e. not in the sense of "get a life"

I just don't get the tenses. Why is the verb quitao, who is it referring to? - Allzx3, Apr 5, 2010
quitao: quitado, but I guess David Bustamante is from Spain. - 00e46f15, Apr 5, 2010

okay thanks! But can you explain the tense of quitao? - Allzx3, Apr 5, 2010
I would say it is just the accent, it`s not really `quitao`it`s `quitado` in other words the past participle - margaretbl, Apr 5, 2010
