Si, nosotros debemos correr en la tarde porque nuestra cena nos da la energia para correr. En la tarde, yo creo que el sol no esta demasiado caliente como en la mañana.

which I have translated to

Yes, we should run in the evening because our dinner gives us the energy to run. In the evening, I believe that the sun is not too hot like in the morning.

Is the translation and grammar (of the spanish version) correct?

Thanks! smile

I believe your translation is correct, however you are missing some accent marks on some of the words, like "si, energia, esta." I have added the accents in the following sentence.

Sí, nosotros debemos correr en la tarde porque nuestra cena nos da la energía para correr. En la tarde, yo creo que el sol no está demasiado caliente como en la mañana.

Hola Ozuzanna,

Both versions are grammatically correct. Personally, I find them both slightly awkward, particularly the second part - but that's just a matter of taste.

How are they awkward Gekkosan? Becuase I felt the same about the English. - ian-hill, Apr 4, 2010
Me, I would say: "I believe that in the afternoon the sun is not as hot as in the morning", or something to that effect. The "too hot" part sounds strange, and of course there's no sun in the evening. - Gekkosan, Apr 4, 2010
That depends where you are of course. In Scandinavia it can be sunny until midnight. - ian-hill, Apr 4, 2010
True. However, in that case logically you wouldn't have to "believe" it. You would say something like "In the Scandinavian summer, the sun is cooler in the evening than in the morning", or some such. - Gekkosan, Apr 4, 2010

Si, nosotros debemos correr POR tarde , porque nuestra cena nos da la energia para correr. En la tarde, yo creo que el sol no calienta demasiado , como POR la mañana.

Try to learn . this is español , not mexicano . ;-) - Bunbury, Apr 4, 2010
Isn't still grammatically incorrect if you don't include the accents on the words that require them? - Stardust2212, Apr 4, 2010
Nobody is worried about accents . but I try to put from this moment if it is easiest for you . - Bunbury, Apr 4, 2010
The accents are essential. - ian-hill, Apr 4, 2010
Proper orthography does require the accents marks in Spanish. I missed that detail in my original answer - my bad. - Gekkosan, Apr 4, 2010

I felt the same about the English. We don't know where Ozusanna is from.
