Let's review this construction. I think it's something like, I go to work as well as to the store on Saturday. I can't find the link to it, and I'm off to work now but I don't want to forget it. My shot in the dark will be wrong but: Voy a tanto trabajar como a comer. Pimsleur used this exact same construction but I can't remember the wording, I thought it was odd. Gracias.

If they really used "Voy a tanto trabajar como a comer.", then I suspect that their editor(s) were "asleep at the switch". "Voy tanto a trabajar como a comer." or "Voy a trabajar tanto como a comer." sound OK to me but not what you suggested.
