Hi Sanlee.
I found this in the dictionary:
1) Unemployed = desempleado
2) Unemployment benefit or compensation = subsidio desempleo
I'm not sure how to say "laid off," so let's wait and see what others have to say. ![]()
I found this:
lay-off
noun - despido
to lay off
transitive verb sep - (worker) despedir
descanso del trabajo = laid off
lay off : reajustes. Ex. I was laid off from my job. "Me reajustaron de mi trabajo" unemployed: Sin trabajo, sin empleo.
