About the website
Has anyone gone from not knowing any spanish to being fluent from this website? Also, if yall could give me some study tips and also your technique on how long you spend on a lesson and such.. I would appreciate it. my email is xxxxxx@yahoo.com. I would like some SpanishDict buddies to help me by speaking "simple" English to me at first. I'm only on the first lesson. Thank you.

Hi Hoecr,
Nobody goes from zero to fluent by doing just one thing, whether it's taking a particular course or series of classes or CD sets.If you're going to make it to fluent, you need a variety of tools.
I've sound SpanishDict to be a very helpful tool in my quest to be able to converse with others in Spanish. My goal isn't to be fluent, but to be advanced. If I reach fluency, that's gravy and I'll take it.
I can't completely answer your question because I had two years of Spanish in high school from 1973-75. I forgot most of it along the way, and learned another language which really messed up my Spanish.
But I got an audio CD set and started spending lots of time on this site, and now I'm far, far, far ahead of where I ever was.
I also have acquired several books, I listen to podcasts and watch videos in Spanish. I read the news, I read the Bible, I read the Spanish signs at Wal Mart. I do anything and everything I can to ingest more español.
The neat thing about the forum at SpanishDict is that you are surrounded by fellow learners who are always ready to share the latest thing they are doing.
By the way, it's recommended to spend about a week on each of the lessons. I've found it takes me that long to ingest the material and learn the vocabulary. I'm looking to complete Learn Spanish 4 sometime in June.
I hope you find this site to be as great as so many of us have.
Welcome, and buenas suerte..
