'hace caso'

What I'm getting from this is that a boy is not allowed to get home late, but he never ignores it. That's what I thought 'hace caso' meant, but as the next question is "¿Qué puede hacer después ese(a) chico(a) para resolver el conflicto con sus padres?", I don't think that's right. Please help!

A boy (or girl) is prohibited from arriving home late but he (she) never pays attention to that.

How do you think the the parents will react.

What can this boy (girl) do to resolve the conflict with his (her) parents?

he never takes notice. Or if you want to use ignore, he always ignores it.

Hacer caso de - To pay attention to

Hacer caso omiso de - to ingore, to take no notice of.

"be nice with me" is a serious stretch. "hacer caso" = "pays heed" / "pays attention". - samdie, Apr 2, 2010

A boy/girl is not allowed to arrive home late, but he/she doesn't care. How do you think the parents are going to react?
