Look at the definition of "papa" ----> Papa - defined

Look at the definition of "salada" ----> Salada - defined

Consider what you already know about what the woman thinks of you and then put some English words together from the two definitions. Salt and potato are not the only two choices.

'salda' and 'resalada" (essentially an augmentative), can be translated as 'spicy' (a term of approbation).

I'm not familiar with that expression as a term of endearment, but many times I have been served steam baked potatoes with salt on them. It's very common in Colombia.

Ah... ! Podría ser un término de cariño inventado, así como decir "my pumpkin" o "sweetums", ¿no? - Gekkosan, Apr 6, 2010

Ha ha, well I think it is kind of cute, maybe she meant 'papa' as in 'daddy' and 'salada' as in 'salty' (spicey in English) reminds me of the old "Malagueña salerosa" - if a girl from Malaga can be salty/spicey why not a guy from....
