I have to warm myself by the fire before I freeze to death.

I cook enough food for dinner so that I can warm up the leftovers for lunch the next day.

I'd add:

But sometimes I eat too much and there is nothing left to heat up for lunch. sick

It is more usual to just say "Un futbolista está calentando" (to have his muscles ready to play) - Mokay, Apr 1, 2010

They told the messengers who had come, “Say to the men of Jabesh Gilead, ‘By the time the sun is hot tomorrow, you will be delivered.’” When the messengers went and reported this to the men of Jabesh, they were elated.

I think you mean the definition "put away" and dropped "winter" in your English translation - nizhoni1, Apr 1, 2010

It's not a blanket. It is on top of the mattress, but under the sheet, so you're lying on top of it. Is it still a cubrecama? - mar959, Apr 1, 2010

Calentar is a synonym of templar. When learning a new word, it's always a good idea to check whether or not there are other forms so that you can learn them all.

Edit: Please check this and tell me if you see more fluent ways to say "so that" and if "Cuando se aprende" makes good sense there for when learning a new word.
