I'm writing a letter. : today was a bit of a long day"

I used the translator and it came up with:

Hoy ha sido un poco de un largo dia"

But i don't understand the "ha".

"ha" is the third person singular present tense of "haber"

"ha sido" = "has been"

"Hoy ha sido un poco de un largo dia*"- "Today has been a bit of a long day"

*'dia' should be 'día'

It means "has."
