I am writing a paper on Jorge Luis Borges and I want to say, "he slows down time and he speeds time up. He makes it stop. He freezes time for some while for others nothing has even happened." Gracias por su ayuda! Kelan smile

Your original: "he slows down time and he speeds time up. He makes it stop. He freezes time for some while for others nothing has even happened."

Your (excellent) effort: "él aminora el tiempo, él acelera el tiempo. Lo congela para unos mientras para otros nada ha pasado."

I think you did a really good job. There's technically nothing wrong with your translation.

From the point of view of style, you could perhaps make a few adjustments to make the words flow as nicely as they do in your English version. However, if this is for a Spanish-course type of project, what you wrote is perfectly acceptable.

Very good!

Hi Kelan!

Those are really nice concepts you are trying to express! How about you give it a try, and then the members of the Forum can provide you with corrections and feedback?
