How do I say lent in Spanish?

I'm doing a presentation on the festival of Barranquilla, which is before the Christian season of Lent. However I can't find how to say Lent, as in the season not the verb.

In Spanish to lend and to borrow is the same and you use dejar. E.g "Can I lend your car - Me dejas tu coche (You lend me your car) Yes you can borrow my car - Si te dejo mi coche (Yes, I lend you my car)
