How would you say "Are" In Spanish? I've looked it up and it says "Son" mean are. Is this an accurate translation?

-Thanks

Hi Snow.

We'd need some context to be most accurate here, but yes, "son" can mean "are." For example, "They are Americans" "Ellos son Americanos." However, if you want to use "are" as in location, you'd say "They are at the store" "Ellos estan en la tienda."

If that wasn't helpful, please add more to your question and we'll see what we can do.

Hola Snow Leopard..

You might want to go to the reference section and then to the grammar section under that. (At the top of the page, you see some tabs. Next to the one that says "dictionary" there is a tab "more." This is where you will find the grammar section.) In the grammar section, highlighted in blue is "ser vs. estar." This should be of help to you. Buena suerte.
