"Ser candidato/a a la presidencia"
Also:
"Lanzar su/mi candidatura a la presidencia," which is like "To kick off his/her/my presidential campaign"
One can also declare their candidacy: "Se declara candidato a la presidencia"

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I found this in the dictionary.
To run for Parliament = presentarse a las elecciones parlamentarias
You could simply replace "parlamentarias" with "presidencial."
