Words for money

In English there are many words for money.

I expect there are many in Spanish too.

So this thread should help us all.

Here are a few in English.

Bread

Dough

Dosh

Spondoolics

Splosh

How many more are there in both languages I wonder.

Update - Keep'em comin' , I'll do a résumé when we have enough.

"Spondoolics"? That sounds funny. Is it Cockney? - Nicole-B, Mar 28, 2010
Not sure Nicole - it is used in London but may not be Cockney - ian-hill, Mar 29, 2010

A nifty = £50

A fiver = £5 (lady Godivia / fiver in Cockney)

A smacker = £1

A quid - £1

In English we also use the word "dinero," as in "That costs a lot of dinero!"
