Spanish Movie Night
From now until the end of April I'll be hosting a Spanish movie night every Friday.
I'll post in this thread ten minutes before I start streaming.
The site I'll be using is here.
All you have to do is show up.
If you have a desired movie to watch let me know what it is and I'll see if I can get my hands on a copy.

La Estrategia del Caracol (English: The Strategy of the Snail) is a 1993 Colombian comedy-drama film directed and produced by Colombian filmmaker and director Sergio Cabrera. The film is starred by Frank Ramirez, Florina Lemaitre, Humberto Dorado, Fausto Cabrera and Carlos Vives. Love this idea. I vote for a comedy!!! I'm all about comedy, love a movie I feel better after I watched it than when I started.
I probably won't understand much. I seem to have a GREAT ability to speak in Spanish, at least enough for people to understand me, of course I'm not inhibited so FREELY use hans motions, arms waving and lots of body movement. jajajaja I just don't understand what everyone says back to me.

This week there is only going to be one movie, "Pan's Labyrinth."
I'll by trying a new site to host it, when I have it set up I'll provide a link. This week the movie starts at 8p.m. Eastern.
That is 7p.m. Central and 6p.m. Western I believe.

Volver has finished playing, I restarted my computer in an attempt to solve the laggsome people have been describing. Give it a shot if you're interested in watching "ESL" if the lag continues I'll talk to some people more tech inclined than me about solutions to that problem.
Hmm... I didn't realize it was Eastern time. I am in central. I will try to rent Volver so that I can be ready for the discussion. Also, I recommend REC next week if at possible. Haven't seen it yet, but I'm all about horror or scifi horror. Haunted Houses, etc... zombies... anything like that is what I love...
I don't think it's a problem with the movie. It's stuttering a bit for me, but I think it's my connection. Even youtube does it on my little computer

Hey, I just wanted to say that I think this is a GREAT idea!
I entered and was really excited, but the movie kept pausing like every 3 seconds..I guess one can't complain when it's being streamed. I couldn't watch it like that. I'll try again for the horror movie. That one seems really interesting. Hopefully for that one it the pauses aren't so frequent.

Wait, so are we watching all four and it starts with Volver? Isn't that like 8 or 10 hours of movies?
I was able to find a copy of "Hable con ella." No subtitles are available though.
