Is it short for demasiado?
I saw:
es dem buena esa canción
If that is short for "demasiado" does it mean "really" in that case? Like, "That song is too good," as in "That song is really good".

You are right Luciente... "dem" in this case mean "demasiado", but it's slang...
Certainly is trying to say "really"...
