What would be an accurate translation for "I found myself wondering what it was that you wanted from me."? Every way I try to translate it, it sounds ridiculous. Thanks.

Me encontré preguntandome que era lo que quería de mi.
Yeah...The 2 "me"s sound kind of funny.
You could say "Me encontré preguntando que era..." or just say "Me estaba preguntando que era.....". It just takes out the "found myself" part.
