Tomografia Helicoidal Sin Contraste (pielotac) should be in capital letters but it's "against the rules of the forum" ![]()
.
English version:
Helical non-contrast CT
or
Helical CT without contrast
I did a Google search for "Kidney Stone Detection". Here, in part, is what I found:
The most common test that's done to detect a kidney stone is something called a CT Urogram. That's a CAT scan that is done in what is called a spiral CT scanner and resolution of the scanner is down to 1 mm. So small stones, ones that could be obstructive, could be easily identified. A CT Urogram is a study of the abdomen and pelvis using a spiral CT scanner. Images are acquired that allow us to look at the anatomy of the kidney, whether or not there are stones or calculi present within the system, and what their location is. Furthermore it also gives information on degree of obstruction. So it's really a very key study that allows the diagnosis and eventually a treatment plan and strategy for the individual.
I wondered if the "estudio" you referred to is a reference to the CT (Computer Tomography) Scanner used in the diagnosis. Most of what I found was outside or beyond ny knowledge, experience and skill level. I think the best thing I can do for you is to ask you to do a Google search to see what you find and to evaluate the results against the questions you have.
