Correct - The horse's legs are injured.

Correct but not common - The legs of the horse are injured.

Incorrect - The horse legs are injured.

Correct - The horse's saddle is in the stable.

Maybe correct but very uncommon - The saddle of the horse is in the stable.

Correct - The saddle for the horse is in the stable.

Correct - Black Beauty's saddle is in the stable.

Incorrect - The saddle of Black Beauty is in the stable.

In English, it more commmon to add 's or s' for plurals to show possesion Horse legs would be fine if you are using horse as an adjective to describe them , but for poession that is wrong, you always have to add 's or use of . Its without an aprostrophe is the possesive form of it.

(1) Horse legs is better. Although it needs qualifying.

(2)The legs of the Horse, is OK,

(3) The horse saddle.

(4) The saddle , or A saddle , would be sufficient because it is understood that a

saddle is for a Horse.Unless it is a specific saddle for a specific Horse.

But these are not stand alone sentences , one would need to see the content to

make better judgement as to how best to use them.
