How do you friend some one on Spanish Dict?

We don't have "friend" designations anymore on SpanishDict like you would find on a social site. (We used to). Hopefully, we are all friends. One of the reasons that the designation was abandoned is that it is more instructive to post your language questions to the membership as a whole rather than pairing off with members for individual instruction. You get a better answer when you allow multiple inputs and everyone that has a similar question as yours gets helped at the same time as you do when a question is answered in "public". However, there is no policy against one-to-one tutoring and if you wish to learn by a "penpal" method there is nothing preventing that. Publish a solicitation in the appropriate category and find a willing tutor. One can understand that you might be a little reluctant if you are a 1st year student in Spanish to post questions asking about very basic concepts, but realize that you are not the only 1st year student here. Just because some of us have advanced beyond the "what are the colors in Spanish" level doesn't mean that we don't remember being there and are unwilling to answer your question.

My advice. Treat everyone here as your "friend" and 99.9% (I'm exempting Heidita...she'll just send you to the dunce corner) will respond in kind.
