Spanish for Olympic Games?
When I look at a Spanish website and they are talking about the recent Olympic Games they call them the 'J.J.O.O.' I understand 'Juegos Olimpicos' but why is it doubled up? thank you soo much

It is doubled because "games" is plural. The same is shown for E.E.U.U. or Los Estados Unidos. "States" is plural, so the abbreviation is doubled.
I know that confused me at first. ![]()
