Medicinal plants are very tricky, because folk or local names are often very, very specific to one region or even one small town.
My best bet, just by looking around is: Randia aculeata L No way to know for sure, though.
This is what I found with the name Crucetillo. The first name, Joe Pye Weed is the common English name. Those that follow are the scientific names, and the group after that are several other Spanish names for the plants. Hope it helps.
