how do you make accented letters?

i am trying to look up a word and i am well aware that the word can mean something completely different without an accent. i need to have an accented "i" and if i don't accent it and look it up, it does not make sense in the context. I recommend making a accent key to the side on the sidebar of your page of spanishdict.com so others will not have this problem.
