What is the difference between "yendo" and "yo voy a..." Also, in what situation would you use them in?

Yendo means "going" which is the present participle of "to go" or "ir in Spanish and is often used with "estar" to form the present progressive tense.
e.g. Estamos yendo. We are going.
"Yo voy a..." means "I'm going to..." (it's a future expression). "Yendo" just means "going", but not in the same way as the other one, it's a gerund of "ir"
