Los tenis Vs. Un par de tenis

Hola!! Los tenis means tennis (the sport) but un par de tenis means the pair of tennis.... would this be referring to a pair of tennis shoes???

Los tenis actually refers to a pair of sneakers. . .but as for the second part, no sé, ¡lo siento! Pero, ¡espero que sea gran ayuda!
