How can an English speaking writer enter accented words

How can an English speaking writer easily enter accented words, e.g. cómo estás? I copied the accents into my own Google doc, then copied them into your translation box. Very cumbersome! --but without the accents, the translation would read something like "like this" instead of "how are you".

If you have Microsoft word, it is possible to program your keyboard through "insert symbol." I programmed mine to be ctrl + ' + (letter); also ctrl + ny. It made it much easier. I now have Open Office Writer, which does not allow you to do this. So, I write every accent throughout my papers as a', e', etc. and at the end do a find and replace all with the accented letters I copied and pasted into the document(or insert symbol). If you have more specific questions, let me know. Hope this helps.

Sorry, I just reread your question. I didn't realize you were asking about on SpanishDict. There is a box under the text box with accented letters (for asking/answering questions). I'm not sure about the translation/dictionary boxes.
