allí - allá - ahí
I am never sure when to use these words.
Could someone provide different sentences that illustrate the correct usage?

I use ahi and allí indistinctively = there
La vi parada ahí / allí - I saw her standing there. The referred sot or place is relatively near.
And allà means a far place - La vi parada allà means she was standing at a considerable distance.
En orden de cercanía:
1 - aquí o acá es el lugar donde está quien habla, 'este lugar': «El libro no tengo aquí, a mi lado»;
2 - ahí es un lugar alejado de quien habla, 'ese lugar', pero puede estar cerca de quien escucha: «No veo el libro, ¿dónde está? Está ahí mismo, a tu lado»;
3 - allí o allá es un lugar mucho más alejado de quien habla y de quien escucha, 'aquel lugar': «, ¿El libro?, está allí, en la estantería de la izquierda».

the words allí and ahí are quite interchangable and you would not notice the difference in pronounciation, very similar not to say the same.

Allí is ahi. I mean "ahi" is the correct word. You book is over here. Now "alla".you book is over there. "Ahi" you can use this word to say that something is around you,near you, "tu libro esta ahi". Now "alla" used to something far of you "tu libro esta por alla"
