I have yet to fit you... Is that discussing finding or tailoring the correct clothing size?

yet we do perfectly...that seems like a different context of "fit".

Ignoring all of that...hacemos...(literally we do)...is not short for ...cabemos (we do fit).

You're trying to translate literally, word for word, and that rarely works.

The words to do are included in the verb infinitive and are not made using the verb hacer.

Leemos...we do read; not hacemos leer.

Sorry, I forgot to mention it's part of a poem I wrote, so it would sound weird.

I guess the idea would be, something like 'I don't know everything about you and yet we are so perfect together'.
