"To chop" en español?
I have checked our dictionary on this one, but there are so many possibilities that I didn't know which one to choose. I want to say in Spanish: "Chop the nuts in little pieces" What is the best way to say this?

Picar las nueces.
You can conjugate the infinitive verb picar depending on to whom you are speaking.
I would use "picar". But then again, I'm not the best cook and I'm not the best in Spanish.
A nuez is a type of fruto seco.
I put nut in the translator and it came back as el fruto seco.
I put nuez in the translater and it came back *nut**. Meaningwalnuts, pecans, etc.
Oooh, nueces. Thought it was frutos secos Good that I asked the whole sentence
I'll go with Picar and if she looks at me weird... I can still grab the knife and show it
Thanks guys (and lady

creo que 'cortar' pero mi español es mal. yo oigo la palabra cortar mucho en mi clase 'cocinar exotica'. Soy Inglesa y estoy viviendo en el norte de España así que yo puedo aprender español pero ahora estoy aprendiendo más sobre cocinar, no es mal!
