Swing is right, it should be "Eres mi vida. Te amo, amor."
It means "You are my life. I love you, (my) love."

Your friend meant that you mean a life to him or her (literary you are my life), are very impotant. Te amo amor means I love you (my) love. And it should be: eres mi vida, not me.
