¿Cuanto tiempo está esto el ir a tomar?

This does not appear to be correct to me for a couple of different reasons. First, the verb "estar" is unnecessary here, and second, I don't think that the verb "tomar" is used like this. Here are a couple of suggestions that you might want to consider:

• ¿Cuánto (tiempo) llevará de hacer/terminar algo?

• ¿Cuánto se tardará en hacer algo?

• ¿Cuánto tiempo se necesitará para hacer/completar algo?

In each of the examples you could also substitute the word "algo" with the direct object pronoun (for example: para hacer algo ---> para hacerlo).Perhaps a native speaker will weigh in on this, regarding which of these phrases might be common to say, but I am pretty sure that your original is not the way that you would want to say this.
