Noun and Adjective Question

This is for my "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" Leyenda project : ) So i've always thought that the adjective comes after the noun in spanish no matter what, but when I typed in "the first chair was too big" it gave me "la primera silla...." Is that just because it's machine translated or is "la primera" not considered an adjective?

I know, I used to think the same thing. Actually, there are several situations which require the adjective to go before the noun. In this case, it is because numbering is involved. Since it is the "first" chair or a descriptive word involving a "number", it goes before the noun.

Great! It will be the "first" coke I ever owed you because you usually type faster! jeje Notice the "limiting adjective" within my lame attempt of a joke! jeje - Nicole-B, Mar 4, 2010
