In reference to a story, would "escriban otra solución" be "write a different ending"?

Hi Sonrisa! You probably looked up the word solución and saw that it could mean a climax to a story, right? So ending would be another way to say that. And as for 'escriban', Izan is correct. But it could be taken two ways. That word is used for the 3rd person plural present subjunctive and imperative forms of 'escribir'. smile For example:

Subjunctive:

  • The students are thinking about the story in order to write another ending.
  • Los estudiantes están pensando en la historia para que escriban otra solución.

Imperative:

  • Think about this story. Then write another ending.
  • Piensen en esta historia. Luego, escriban otra solución.

Does that help? By the way, what was the story? wink

Could ending (especially of a story) be: desenlace?
