Struggling with my spanish?

Ok I am good at remembering spanish words and vocabulary most of the time, but I have the worst problem on making up sentences in spanish and knowing when to use the right form of the word. Is there anyway any one could help/give me some advice on how to know when to use certian types of words and when. Plus I have no clue how to make up a sentence using the vocab I know and put it into a sentence... Any advice?? Thanks!!!

practice makes perfect!

I suggest you take a look in some of the treads at the posts written in Spanish- they give a pretty good idea. Or, you could make up a simple paragraph in Spanish, post it, and people could see if it makes sense. Another idea is this: try some of the translation exercises that people post. Don't give up and good luck!

Those are big questions! grin Best advice? "Practice!" That's really the only way to properly learn any language. There is no magic or instant formula. Read and listen as much as possible, and then try to use any chace you have to speak it. It all falls in place eventually.

Práctica es la mejor forma de aprender a hablar Español. Try watching TV shows, talk back to the characters. Try to think in spanish.

Generally when you learn vocabulary it is associated with a task, place, activity. Instead of just learning the words, try to also learn how to use the words. For example if you are leaning farm animals in spanish, learn a sentence that goes with the names of the animals.

Oveja Vaca Caballo Cerdo Gallina

En el campo vimos muchos animales incluyendo; dos ovejas, cuatro cerdos, un caballo y veinte gallinas.
