why is spanish such a fast language

I have a lot of friends that speak Spanish, and i noticed they speak very fast. Why do they do that? Is it just normal for Mexicans to speak very quickly? Thankyou so much, Nikki

Not all Mexicans speak fast, though it is sort of easier to say faster. But for the most part it's just like American where some people talk fast and others don't.
