Is the Spanish word "llave" used for the key of a map? The list of symbols, colors and their explanations at the side of a map?

Leyenda del mapa es un otro dicer "map key" en español. Legend of the Map is another way to say "map key" in Spanish.

On maps (and other technical drawings, plans, etc) , you will see both "Key" and "Legend" used in English. Benz's translation above is correct for "Legend". I have not seen llave used.
