Uses of the subjunctive tense?

I get confused when I must use the subjunctive tense in Spanish. It seems that it is used quite often. How do I know when to use it?

Since you're new here you might not know how to get to the Reference materials. Here is a link: Overview of Subjunctive mode

To find it in the future, select the tab at the top of the page that says More or Más and then select Reference or Referencia (It's under Verbs)
