How would you communicate the phrase "always does"?

How would you communicate the phrase "always does"?

For example: "He's bound to win the race; He always does." Or "She'll lose her keys like she always does."

Here's a pretty terrible first attempt:

  • Tenía que ganar la carrera; siempre lo hace.
  • Perderá sus llaves como siempre.

I know the second one is correct, but it doesn't really have the same sense. "Like always" and "like he/she always does" are just different in my head.

Thank you in advance!

Why wouldn't you use the same in the first sentence, "...como siempre." ?

I agree... "como siempre" sounds better in the 1st example :) - Benz, Feb 26, 2010
