The absolute worst thing

I know that you can say "grandísimo" for really big, but I did not find any thing for "peorisimo".... Is there something I can say for "worse" that is like the word "grandísimo".... Also, is there another word that I can use besides "cosa" for "thing" because I have already used it many times in my essay. Thanks!

el peor o lo peor - the worst
Some examples using el peor (the worst):

The worst thing... how about "lo más peor"? Then, you don't even need to use "thing".
