First, you have to figure out the verb and the direct object.

"Los europeos trajeron la idea de morros y cristianos a América"

"trajeron" is the verb, and "la idea de moros y cristianos" is the direct object.

When you go from active voice to passive, you make the direct object the subject of the sentence, so you'd start your passive sentence with the direct object of the action as the subject:

La idea de moros y cristianos.....

Next, you want to look at your verb "trajeron". First, you want to figure out what tense the verb is in. In this case, it's preterite. That means that when you use "ser" for passive, you'd put "ser' (to be) in the preterite tense to agree with the new subject "la idea". In this case, the form would be "fue" (was).

La idea de moros y cristianos fue

Then, you'd look at what the action verb is... "trajeron" comes from "traer," so you would need to make the past participle (-ado/-ido) form, in this case, it's "traído".

La idea de moros y cristianos fue traído

But, since the past participle is being used like an adjective, you have to make it agree which "la idea", so it would become feminine... "traída"

La idea de moros y cristianos fue traída

Next, you'd want to include the "a América" from the original sentence...

La idea de moros y cristianos fue traída a América

Lastly, you want to take the agent (do-er of the action, which was the first sentence's subject) from the original active sentence and say it was done BY (por) them in the passive sentence...

La idea de moros y cristianos fue traída a América por los europeos.

And there's your passive sentence!

Hope that helped!

La idea de los morros y los cristianos fue traída a América por los europeos.

I simply changed your sentence to passive, but Luciente gave you an excellent proceedure to do so.
