c'mon, mac has some shortcut keys to type those special characters faster. you'll never even have to use the 'below' box.

please search the forun for 'accented characters' and I'm sure you'll find the resolution.

First you click on all the tildes you need to use. You can cut (ctrl x) and then paste (ctrl v) it in the questions box.

first, try pressing F5 while pressing down the CTRL key. sometimes that resolves the issue.

I tried editing his question and that doesn't help. What he is saying is that the accented characters listed below the editor can be used in the description box, but not in the Title box.

I'd never noticed it before, as I don't use those character links below the editor.

You can cut and paste the characters from the list below the editor into the Title box, however, so I would suggest doing that.

I take it your using the little box of accented letters at the bottom of the page? (ex. á é í ó ú ¿ ¡) If so, then I tried and I don't think it will work that way. But if you use keyboard shortcuts, then it works fine (for me at least).

what do you mean by 'below' and 'above'?

do you have any other defining attribute of the two boxes?
